Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN.

Synopsis
At a German concentration camp in occupied Poland during 1944, young Erik Lensherr is separated from his parents by Nazi guards. The child's desperate mind remarkably bends a metal gate until a guard knocks Lensherr unconscious (the same footage that's in the first X-Men movie). Scientist Sebastian Shaw, who has observed this through a window, calls Lensherr up to see him. Placing a metal coin on a desk, he orders Lensherr to use his magnetism power to move it. When Lensherr cannot, despite his best efforts, Shaw shoots and kills Lensher's mother in front of him. In his rage, Lensherr's out-of-control magnetic power kills the two guards and destroys two rooms, to Shaw's delight.

Around this same time, in Westchester County, New York, mansion, a young Charles Xavier meets a young, shape-shifting girl named Raven, disguised as his mother, who is looking through the fridge for food. Xavier accuses his "mother" of being an imposter, and asks what it has done with his real mother, as she would not make him a sandwich or hot chocolate, at which point, Mystique shifts back to her normal, blue-skinned form. Overjoyed to meet someone else "different" like him, he says she can come live with his family.

In Switzerland in the movie's present-day of 1962, Lensherr forces a banker (by ripping out one of the metal fillings in his mouth) to trace a bar of Nazi gold to Shaw's address in Argentina. In a tavern there patronized by former German soldiers, Lensherr kills three men as he learns that Shaw has a yacht in Florida. Meanwhile, in England, Oxford University graduate Xavier is publishing his thesis on mutation; his foster sister Raven, a waitress, lives with him. Simultaneously in Las Vegas, Nevada, CIA agent Moira MacTaggart follows U.S. Army Colonel Hendry into the Hellfire Club, where she sees Shaw, Emma Frost, and Azazel. After Shaw threatens Henry, Azazel disappears with the officer; moments later he is in the War Room, advocating that U.S. install nuclear missiles in Turkey.

Shaw meets with Colonel Hendry on his yacht, and refuses to give Hendry his money, at which point Hendry pulls out a grenade and threatens to pull the pin, but Shaw takes the grenade and pulls the pin himself, and absorbs the blast (at which point we now learn that Shaw is a mutant, and absorbs energy, which also keeps him young), then taps Hendry, expelling the grenade's energy into the Colonel, blowing him up.

MacTaggart seeks Xaviers advice on mutation, and takes Xavier and Raven to the CIA to convince the chief that Shaw is a threat. After convincing them that mutants exist they are to be taken to a covert facility, but first Xavier tracks down Shaw. Lensherr attacks Shaw, and when Shaw escapes in his submarine Lensherr tries to stop him, but Xavier stops him so that he does not drown. Lensherr joins Xavier and Raven at the CIA facility, where they meet Hank McCoy, another mutant that Xavier accidentally outs. McCoy and Xavier use a prototype Cerebro to locate mutants and recruit several of them to train to stop Shaw. Upon the recruiting process, we also see Xavier and Lensherr walk up to Hugh Jackman in a bar and introduce themselves. Jackman tells them to go to hell, and they walk off.

Shaw plans to meet with a Russian general, but sends Frost instead, who is then captured by Xavier and Lensherr. The facility is attacked by Azazel, Riptide and Shaw, with all the guards being killed. Shaw recruits Angel and kills Darwin by forcing him to ingest a massive amount of energy. When Lensherr and Xavier return they begin to train the mutants, though Raven is conflicted about hiding her natural form.

President Kennedy institutes a blockade. Shaw travels with the Russian fleet to ensure that the missiles get to Cuba. Xavier, MacTaggart and Lensherr fly to the blockade to stop the fleets from engaging. Shaw uses a nuclear core to charge himself up and a helmet to block Xaviers telepathy. While Azazel kills the crew of the Russian missile ship, Xavier uses his powers to make a Russian ship destroy the missile ship before it crosses the line.

Lensherr pulls Shaws submarine from the water, but an attack forces the jet and submarine to crash. Lensherr finds Shaw and removes his helmet and Xavier takes control of Shaw. Lensherr puts on the helmet, then kills him by slowly forcing the coin that Shaw taunted him with through his brain.

The two fleets fire their missiles at the mutants, but Lensherr, now fully in control of his abilities, holds the missiles in the air, then turns them on the fleet. In the ensuing fight Xavier manages to distract Lensherr, but when MacTaggart fires at Lensherr he deflects the bullets, with one paralyzing Xavier.

Lensherr takes Raven, Angel Salvadore, Riptide and Azazel and leaves. Xavier, now confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and the mutants return to the mansion, where he will open a school. He wipes MacTaggart's memory, and Lensherr breaks Frost out of the CIA headquarters, and in his new uniform he tells Frost to call him Magneto.

Countryside-dols B1A4, "Armed with Friendliness"지방돌 비원에이포(B1A4) “친근함으로 무장했어요”(인터뷰)

Jinyoung, Shinwoo, Sandeul, Baro, Gongchan. It has only been 2 months since their debut. Soaring with their hot debut album Let's Fly as they scream 'O.K' excitedly, B1A4 has now started promotions with a serious ballad follow-up song 'Only Learnt The Bad Things'/

How did these good-looking young men known for being like manhwa character before debut come together? According to Baro who is in charge of rap, a friend saw his picture on Cyworld and contacted the current agency, hence him meeting the members. At his auditions, Baro sang Jo Sumi's If I Leave (나가거든) and Sung Sikyung's The Road to Me (내게 오는 길). He also performed a little rap and beatbox, truly showcasing a variety of talents.

Leader Jinyoung had always wanted to be in the entertainment industry, and a singer. A picture from Cyworld was reuploaded to an Internet cafe, where his current agency saw it and casted him. Jinyoung has auditioned for the role of Gonggil in movie 'The King and The Clown'. He is a child with prior acting experiences with minor roles in dramas.

Maknae Gongchan had his picture uploaded to Cyworld's 'Ulzzang Challenge' corner by a friend in his 3rd year of middle school. After his current agency saw it, he was offered an audition. Gongchan has the experience of going for a drag queen competition where he danced to Ivy's song.

Main vocal Sandeul, born in Busan, prepared to be a singer by going to many song festivals. His award achievements are very colorful. The agency recruited him after watching videos of him at the song festival, where he sang a ballad song originally by Kim Yeonwoo.

Shinwoo, in charge of vocals and rap, come from a family of musicians. There is a trot singer in his family, while one of his elder singers do pansori (genre of Korean traditional music). That explains why he had the natural thought of wanting to be a singer when he grows up. Hence, when he went on a Youth Song Festival and smiled on stage, he was scouted by a manager of the agency and hence entered through the backdoor to be part of B1A4.

All of B1A4 are from the countryside, hence their nickname 'countryside-dols'. Jinyoung and Shinwoo are from Chungbook Cheongju, Sandeul from Kyungnam Busan, Baro from Jeonnam Kwangju and Gongchan from Jeonnam Suncheon. During his school days, whenever there were talent shows or festivals, Jinyoung would be the 1st to participate. Since young, Jinyoung liked to stand in front of people and even though he may look like a playful person, he has a bright and amiable personality. He took up the position of class president, and was a student with much popularity.

Shinwoo has performed in a band at Hongdae ever since his school days, and is a child who always spent his days with music. Unlike his current soft image, Shinwoo liked rock and did tough music. Shinwoo said, "I didn't know what were smiles in my schooling days. They say I look nice when I smile, so I smile a lot now", causing an explosion of laughter around him.

When he was in his 3rd year of middle school, Sandeul and his friends participated in a singing battle somewhat similar to the current program 'I Am A Singer', and he rose to fame after attaining 1st place. He surprised everyone when they found out that he was a child that loves music. Sandeul, who travelled all over the country to Mokpo, Pohang, Busan, to take part in song festivals, said "My mother is part of a choir and she told me that when I sing, I shouldn't follow other people, and just sing by myself. I've kept those words deep in my heart."

Moodmaker Baro, as expected, has been outgoing since young. Within a week of transferring school, he became class president. He also has an active history in taking part in festivals, and joined the gag society in high school.

These children have lived and worked hard in their hometowns, and come together in Seoul to train for debut as singers for 2 years. There are many people who aspire to be singers, but it is not easy to debut. They spent 2 years without causing any trouble, or quarrelling amongst themselves. Sometimes, when they feel homesick, they think of the dreams of being a singer, and hug each other and get over it.

B1A4 said that their charm is friendliness that they do not hold back. They expressed their determination to be close (to the fans) like a next-door-oppa, or a friend at school.

IU look alike from B1A4's MV

The actress from idol group B1A4’s MV ‘Learned Only Bad Things’ is gaining attention as an IU look a like.

On an online community on the 23rd, there was a topic named ‘IU look a like’ with the picture.

The actress in the picture looks similar to IU.

Neitzens who have noticed this have commented, “I don’t know about the bottom photo but they look alike in the top photo”, “They really look alike. She is pretty”, and “The bottom photo actually looks more similar to Lizzy.”

B1A4's Sandeul: "I did not have plastic surgery"

Idol group B1A4 member Sandeul rejected rumors of possible plastic surgery that was spreading between fans.

In one online community site, there was an article that involved Sandeul stating, "B1A4 Sandeul, In 2 years a 3rd degree change in external features?" including information from his past to his present self and caused a rising of suspicion from lies and also received doubts in that he even had plastic surgery.

Sandeul, who has transformed into a pretty boy appearance, had short hair and wore thick glasses. Another picture was of Sandeul in a school uniform with messy hair and was chubbier than his present appearance.

Sandeul spoke in a recent radio station saying, "I only took off my glasses and lost some weight but hearing rumors of me getting plastic surgery makes me sad," and "I still wear those glasses at home. But if I wear those glasses, my eyes turn small like buttons."

His company, WM Entertainment, also explained, "While getting ready for their debut, all the members were not only involved deeply into their music but wanted to show a cool image and reputation. So, they went on diets and did a lot of styling."

B1A4 debuted with "O.K." and currently is now promoting "Only Learned Bad Things" while showing off their smooth image.

Masih kurang puas terhadap karir bermusiknya di grup band 'Jonas Brothers' dan solo karir, Joe Jonas dikabarkan akan menjajal kemampuan beraktingnya di dunia seni peran.
Sudah sejak lama Joe memiliki sebuah ide untuk dikeluarkan ke layar lebar, dia pun sangat optimis hal tersebut bisa menjadi besar kedepannya. Untuk mewujudkan hal itu, Joe bekerjasama dengan seorang temannya yang berprofesi sebagai Produser.

"Ada sebuah cerita yang saya ciptakan bersama salah seorang teman saya. Ide itu sudah ada sejak lama dan kebetulan teman saya tersebut adalah seorang Produser film terkenal, yaa akhirnya saya bersemangat untuk segera ditulis serta membuatnya menjadi nyata," ujar Joe yang dikutip dari E! Online.

"Kini sang penulis dan saya sudah mulai bekerjasama. Tidak lama lagi kita akan sampai pada tahap akhir. Pokoknya kita lihat saja nanti hasil akhirnya seperti apa, saya perkirakan butuh waktu 2 bulan untuk proses pembuatan film ini," tambahnya.

Jika film garapan Joe itu terlaksana, maka ini adalah kali pertama frontman grup band 'Jonas Brothers' tersebut tampil di sebuah film layar lebar. Selama ini, Joe hanya berkiprah di serial 'Camp Rock' di Disney Channel.

Elijah Wood Kembali Perankan Frodo

Aktor Elijah Wood akan kembali perankan 'Frodo', seperti pada film terdahulunya 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' yang saat ini tengah syuting di New Zealand mengatakan "luar biasa" dan senang untuk kembali menyatu dengan para pemain asli dari 'Lord of the Rings'.
"Ini adalah kesempatan langka untuk meninjau kembali suatu waktu tertentu dalam hidup saya. Rasanya seperti aku akan kembali ke reuni keluarga besar, banyak waktu yang kreatif yang sama yang terlibat," ujar Elijah yang dikutip Contactmusic.com

Plastic is fantastic! Park Min-young

Wow! The before and after picture of Park Min-young are amazing! It’s obvious that the 22 year old is not naturally blessed with big doe-like eyes and a v-line face. In the before picture (left), the expanse between her eyes was so wide you can probably fit 2 eyes in there. So to make her eyes bigger, she probably got double folds, widened the length, and got mongol folds removed. As for the V-line, it could be that the baby fat is gone but then again, her face looks too thin.

Whoever her surgeon is- he is a magician!

When will it be this time?

The last time we heard about a comeback from Miss A it was in late April about an impending mid-May return. What happened? The JYP Nation did! First it was Miss A and now The Wonder Girls are a little behind schedule, but never fear….JYP is still here!

JYP Entertainment announced that the girls first full length studio album with be released towards the end of July. Park Jin-young, aka Mr. JYP himself, made another dance track for the girls as their title track.

The girl band who rock the K-pop world is [hopefully] coming back! Are you ready for them?

FT Island tops music charts in Taiwan

Recently, FT Island has enjoyed success in both Korea and Japan, as the group’s concerts have sold out in record time. In addition to this success, FT Island is also setting records in Taiwan, with the release of the group’s new mini-album, “RETURN,” on June 24th.

On G-Music's sales chart, the largest CD sales chart in Taiwan, for the week of June 24th to June 30th, FT Island grabbed the number 1 spot for the Korean and Japanese sales charts with 29% of the total J-Pop and K-Pop sales. Additionally, FT Island also grabbed the number 1 spot on the Combo chart, which combines the sales of all albums from all countries and genres. The group accounted for 8.1% of the total sales, beating out the popular Lady Gaga and Jam Hsiao.

On ezPeer's weekly singles chart, FT Island managed to grab the number 1 and number 3 spots with “Hello Hello” and “Confession”. On its weekly albums chart, the group ranked 1st for its first week on the chart.

On June 17th, Mnet released the list of nominees for this year's Mnet 20's Choice Awards. The 20's Choice Awards is the only award show in the music industry that takes place in the middle of the year, as most celebrate with festivals and awards during the last days of the year.

On July 7th, the 2011 Mnet 20’s Choice Awards was held at the Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel. The night's hosts were none other than Song Joongki and miss A's Suzy.

Motherhood is a popular subject for many filmmakers, including director Choi Ik-hwan, who is making his directorial debut with this omnibus film.
The film consists of three stories about mothers and their children.
The first story is about a mother (Uhm Jung-hwa) who devotes her life to taking care of her son (Lee Hyeong-seok), who suffers from a chronic disease. When the son, who can barely walk, realizes his mother has also fallen ill, he decides to care for her as she has done for him.
The second story depicts the troubled relationship between a mother and daughter. The mother (musical theater actress Jeon Soo-kyeong), the top soprano in the nation, is far from a typical devoted Korean mother and always wants to be pampered. Her daughter (Ryoo Hyeon-kyeong), a high school dropout whose experience has been the opposite of her mother’s, works as her manager. The two are always fighting and struggle to find a way to navigate their relationship.
The third episode centers upon a gangster (Yoo Hae-jin). When he hears that his mother (Kim Hae-sook) has been diagnosed with breast cancer, he strives to fulfill his mother’s wish to reunite with her first love before she dies.
