Fans Celebrate Girls’ Generation Sunny’s 23rd Birthday

Fans gifted Girls’ Generation’s Sunny with a special message for her 23^rd birthday (24th in Korean age). On May 15, SONE’s from Korean portal site, Naver and Daum, bought ad space on some of the leading Korean newspapers to celebrate the star signer/musical star’s special day. Sunny was born on May 15, 1989.
The message contained words of appreciation and support for Sunny. It said, “Please continue to be our warm sunshine. Always supporting Girls’ Generation wherever we go, wherever we are, we are the happy SONEs!”
It also added at the end, “[Our wish] We will love Sunny until the day she can slam dunk <3.”
After wrapping promotions for the Girls’ Generation, Sunny has been busy with her musical role in “Catch Me If You Can.” Her Brenda role in the show earned a nomination in the “Best Rookie Actress Award” for the “6^th The Musical Awards.”

HyunA Talks about her Sexy Spread with Yoo Ah In

It’s been revealed that the beautiful ladies of 4minute have recorded an episode of MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol.” During the episode, MC Jung Hyung Don mentioned the recent, sexy photoshoot between HyunA and “Fashion King’s” Yoo Ah In. He started, “Anyone would believe that you two are an item.” HyunA explained, “We met for the first time that day, and we started shooting before we even got to know each other. It was all shoot and no talk.” She continued, “I was so embarrassed that I started blushing.”

miss A’s Suzy Returns to “Dream High” Series

On March 19, miss A’s Suzy made a surprise cameo appearance on KBS “Dream High 2,” making a return to the popular drama series for the first time since last year’s first season when she played a leading role.

In the episode, the rookie group, Super Idols, had their debut performance. It was the first TV appearance for the idol stars that were picked from the Super Idol audition, including Jinwoon, Junior, Ailee, Park Seo Joon, Kim Ji Soo, and Jiyeon.

But on their way up to the stage, the group were faced with miss A, who had just finished their performance. Suzy recognized Jiyeon and said, “Hey Rian, you’re in the same group as these guys?” and walked away in apparent embarrassment.

Suzy played the main female role, Ko Hye Mi, in last year’s first season of “Dream High.” Her friendship with the production crew and personal attachment to the “Dream High” series brought her back to the show, albeit in a cameo role. She became the third “Dream High” cast member to cameo in “Dream High 2,” after Kim Soo Hyun and IU.

G-Dragon’s New Hairstyle?

Recently, a photo of BIGBANG having Korean BBQ was uploaded online. In the photo, you can see G-Dragon, T.O.P, Daesung, and Seungri sitting around a table at what looks like a typical Korean BBQ restaurant. Fans have been impressed by how “regular” the boys look, shedding their normal “pop star” personality for a typical get-together meal most Korean companies have on a regular basis.

But what really caught the eyes of the fans is the way G-Dragon positioned his hair. Fans were already shocked when G-Dragon first came up with his new hairstyle for “Alive,” where he grew out only the right side of his hair for a very funky, unusual look. In this group photo, G-Dragon was seen with his long hair tucked behind his ear, creating a neater and almost feminine look.

2PM’s Chansung Sends Words of Support to Jay Park

2PM’s Chansung showed support for his group’s ex-leader, Jay Park. Appearing on the February 29 episode of MBC “Radio Star,” Chansung was asked about Jay Park’s solo activities and how he felt watching him promote on his own.

Seeming a bit taken aback at first, Chansung soon gathered himself and responded, “I hope he does well. Honestly, I really do.” The show’s host Kim Gura followed up by asking, “Have you met Jay Park after his withdrawal?” But Chansung answered, “No, we never met since then.”

He was also asked if 2PM found a new leader to replace Jay Park, but he said, “We don’t have a new leader right now. All six of us know the weakness of each member so well, so we just lead each other depending on the situation, like a real family.”

Meanwhile, he also addressed their contract that’s set to expire soon. “2PM members promised each other to remain together regardless of resigning the contract. We’re even planning to go to the army together,” Chansung said, showing the group’s tight-knit friendship.

Ha Ji Won in Military Uniform for "The King 2hearts"

Kara's DVD Reaches Number 1 as Soon as It's Released

Kara's new DVD reached the number one spot on the Oricon chart the day it was released. "KARA BEST CLIPS 2 & SHOWS" went on sale February 29 in Japan. On March 1, it was announced that it had reached the number one spot on the Oricon DVD chart. This goes to show that Kara has a strong fan following in Japan. The Japanese version of "Step" made it to the number one spot for the mobile ringtone category.

Last month, Kara kicked off their Asian tour "KARASIA" in Korea. In April, the tour will move to Japan and take place in five Japanese cities. Afterwards, they will move off to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other areas. Besides Kara, BEAST's DVD "The Special Selection of BEAST Premium Edition" charted in at number five, while 2NE1's "2NE1 First Japan Tour 'NOLZA in Japan'" took eighth and "INFINITE JAPAN 1st LIVE 'LEAPING OVER'" rounded out the number ten spot.

Mnet "M! Countdown" - Mar. 1, 2012

"Touch" by miss A is Song of the Week on Mnet “M! Countdown” on its March 1^st edition. The three-way battle was among FT Island's "Severely," John Park's "Falling" and miss A.

MBLAQ and B.A.P debuted new songs on the “M! Countdown” stage. MBLAQ showed what they can do with the difficult choreography of their follow-up song, “Run.” As earlier reported, member Seung Ho collapsed during the second round of recordings and is now currently recovering in the hospital. B.A.P is also continuing promotions with “Secret Love.”

EXID pulls off a surprise special performace of BEAST's "Shock."

Sleepy Secret Hyo Sung Caught by Camera Crew

An old picture of Secret member Hyo Sung is making the rounds on the internet. The photographs are a series of screencaps from the first season of KBS 2TV's "Invincible Youth." The pictures were titled, "Innocent-looking Hyo Sung from Her Semi-Basement Days." In that episode, "Invincible Youth" visited Secret's semi-basement lodgings to film. The camera crew surprised the members and came in while they were sleeping. Hyo Sung's bare face is what has attracted the attention of netizens, who are used to seeing her perfectly made up face. Their comments included, "It's not 'innocence' it's just her with messy hair," and "Secret used to live in that type of place," "She looks more innocent then than now," and "She looks cute."

Secret released a new Japanese single in February titled "So Much for Goodbye." They also plan on having a Japanese tour in March. MBLAQ Seung Ho Taken To Hospital During M Countdown

MBLAQ's Seung Ho collapsed during recoring of Mnet's "M Countdown" and was taken to a Seoul hospital. After finishing the first set of recordings, he collaspsed during the second set. Seung Ho has suffered from a herniated disc and has had trouble dancing. Seung Ho is currently being treated at the hospital. He'll rest from his scheduled plans later today (March 1) while the other members participate. MBLAQ members recently posted on Twitter about how difficult the moves to "Run" were, causing many fans to worry. Hopefully, he'll be ok!

Ha Ji Won to Release a Self-Authored Book in 2012

Actress Ha Ji Won will be debuting in a different profession come 2012. Local news agencies report that she is currently working on a manuscript set for release next year.

Ha Ji Won’s first foray into writing is reportedly autobiographical, focusing on her views on acting in her life and as a profession and a discussion on other people’s perception of her as a celebrity and a person.

“The book will contain Ha Ji Won’s efforts and passion,” the publisher of her book said in a statement. “In the book, she will write about being and living as an actress. She will also pass on some life lessons to those who are pursuing their dreams. These thoughts will all be from one of the best actresses of Korea.”

The actress is said to have received many offers to write from publishers. Being a private person, Ha Ji Won has raised interest in what she has to reveal in her upcoming book.

Meanwhile, Ha Ji Won is currently shooting "Korea," a film based on the victory of an inter-Korean team in table tennis.

BoA Releases Music Video for "Milestone"

BoA's new Japanese music video "Milestone" was released by MTV Japan today.

The music video for this ballad song features her singing in various places and looking stunning throughout. The first seems to be an abandoned performance hall. This is followed by scenes of her in a car and on the streets of a big city. The ending has her singing on a rooftop, having a beautiful sunset in the background.

As she continues to have an amazing career, BoA is now celebrating her 'milestone' 10th year since her debut in Japan. After first debuting in Korea in 2000, she had already started on overseas promotions a year later as a 14 year old.

Her new DVD single "Milestone" will be released on December 7 and will include a documentary of her 10 year long career.

Wonder Girls Release First Two Episodes of 'Wonder Girl's 1st on Air' for [Real WG]

The Wonder Girls released two new episodes of [Real WG] titled 'Wonder Girl's 1st on Air' today on their Youtube channel. Similar to the [Real 2PM] series, they show off various behind the scenes footage.

The first episode follows them backstage at their recent Music Bank and Music Core comeback performances. miss A members Fei, Min and Jia also stop by to show their support.

Yubin thanked the fans for attending since it had been only four days since the college entrance exams. Sunye also mentioned that she was surprised to see many foreign fans in the audience too.

In the second episode they are preparing for their Inkigayo performance. In support of the girls, 2AM's Jo Kwon said that he was glad to meet with them while he was an Inkigayo MC. They day of their comeback was his last episode as an MC for the show. At the end, Sunye teaches the the group NOEL the "Be My Baby" choreography.

No doubt Super Junior's Yesung is used to headlining the news, but now another member of his family is finding himself in the spotlight -- Yesung's little brother, Jong Jin. This photogenic young man has attracted some attention of his own, thanks to his idol-worthy good looks and the fact that he brews a mean cup of coffee. Say what? Well, Jong Jin is a cafe manager by trade, and his chic little shop is frequented by fangirls and celebrities alike. If you're a K-Pop fan in Seoul, Handel and Gretel is one place you have to visit!

Located in upscale Yeouido, Handel and Gretel is located amidst a cluster of restaurants and cafes right across the KBS headquarters. The decor and menu are streamlined, with spare wood fittings and a typical round-up of coffee, tea, sandwiches, and desserts. However, the first thing you're likely to notice is not the menu, but a neatly boxed poster of Yesung, playing guitar and looking totally adorable, along one wall. Along the opposite wall is a shelf with books and various Yesung paraphernalia, including some autographed posters. Please note the Woody doll, as displayed by groupmate Heechul via Twitter in this very setting. Aside from Heechul, other recent visitors have included SNSD's YoonA and Taeyeon, and Simon D. IU's Second Teaser Image for "Last Fantasy" Unveiled

A brand new image of IU's soon to be released album has been revealed. Loen Entertainment had previously revealed the first teaser image a week from now.

In this picture is IU, lying down on a bed in a bright room bathed in sunlight,wearing a blue knit cape,and very eye-catching white fishnet stockings.

The overall image gives off a classic,traditional yet vibrant feel accentuated by the contrast of the blue cape wore by IU and the whiteness of the room and the rest of the image.

This concept image shows off the same refreshing sensibility and light atmosphere from IU's previous releases and concepts. Similar to finding a music box in your grandparents' attic, IU's new release will be full of surprises as stated by Loen Entertainment's representative:

"IU's coming back with a new,more mature image and more touching music. Through this album,fans will
be able to appreciate and witness IU's evolution and various emotions as she heads into her 20s. Please anticipate it."

Meantime, IU full studio album's tracklist will be released today. In addition her full second album "Last Fantasy" is scheduled for release on November 29.

A limited edition of the album will be available for release with pre-orders already available since on November 17 on Loen Entertainment's official website and on online stores.The limited edition will contain a storybook of images showing the production of the album, including IU's pictures, her paintings, drawings and impressions about her new songs to fans.
